Letter from Coach Peter ►►

To the parents of players in the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church / Northside United Methodist Church Sports and Recreation programs:

By now I have had a chance to meet most of the players and many parents and coaches in the league.   You may recognize me from my picture as being one of the soccer referees on the field at E. Rivers.  I have also been hosting teaching clinics during the week at the teams’ practices.  As you can probably tell I love the sport of soccer.  In fact I have a passion for it.   Soccer (football as we know it in Ghana) was an important part of my childhood as it is for your children.  And though I have played and coached at every level including professional men’s and women’s programs, I think I enjoy working with the younger children the most!

As the President of Grace Cross Cultural Ministries, a non-profit organization (501(C)3) dedicated to the promotion of the sport of soccer and the Word of God, it is my desire to make the great sport of soccer available to all children.  While we take it for granted here in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, in many areas of the city, the country and the world there is a need for even the most basic equipment and resources to form soccer leagues for children.   In Atlanta we operate programs and clinics for schools and recreation centers.  In my home village of Konkori and in Kumasi  in Ghana, we are building a children’s recreation facility and a multi-purpose children’s home to house children from underprivileged families.  As part of that effort I am raising money to purchase a vehicle to serve the transportation needs of the children.

Grace Cross Cultural Ministries solicits voluntary contributions from churches, foundations, corporations and individuals who feel convicted to give in support of our mission. We ask that you give to help us with our work of educating, feeding, and housing children in need in Atlanta and West Africa.
