To
build leaders among teenagers and young adults in order to: give them a purpose
and keep them out of trouble, give them a sense of responsibility, help them to
become good examples and teachers for young children. This includes exposing
them to the Christian influence of their coaches and other leaders and to
opportunities to get to know God's Word.
-
To
provide a place and a process, through sports, for drawing parents and children
closer together, and help provide them with shared values and enthusiasm
-
To
give kids a chance to have fellowship and to play together in a well-organized
sport and to learn how to interact wholesomely with each other
-
To
give them a sense of joy, accomplishment and belonging through teamwork and
shared hopes
-
To
give kids who are not able to pay the fees charged in other programs a chance to
play soccer and learn it well
-
To
build body, mind and spirit, and curb delinquent behavior and crime in our city.
An idle mind and body are still the "devil's workshop". In today's social
climate, this can even mean saving the lives of some of these children and other
people.
-
To
carry out these activities under the auspices and on the premises of our two
major social institutions, which are pledged to the healthy development of our
kids and their families- the school and the church
